Create Product Categories
Product categories
Categories are used to organize your products for public view. Eight categories are already created for you but can be modified or deleted as desired.
You may also remove the “Published” checkmark on any category which turns off the online display of that category. However, unless the item (product variant) itself also had the “Published” checkmark cleared, products in the category would continue to display when found through the Search command or the New Products list.
The following categories are created:

Clothing Accessories
*
Literature
*
Maps
*
Memorabilia & Trinkets
*
Posters
*
Seasonal Items
*
Videos & DVDs
Edit Categories
1.
Click eCommerce in the left-hand menu.
2.
Click Categories from the Catalog drop-down menu.
3.
Select either List or Tree View.
4.
Click Edit in the row of the desired category to edit or click Add new to create a new category.
5.
Products can be added to a category under the Products tab
Note: Categories may also be assigned to your products while viewing the product details under the Category mappings tab.
Categories may also be nested (sub-category). Edit the category that you desire to display as a subcategory. On the Category detail page, specify the Parent Category and Save.
