GiftCard Marketing Options –Settings & Toolkit

Immediately you may turn on the GiftCard banner ad that displays inside the Member Information Center v4 and allow the “Buy Gift Cards” button to be available next to your members name in your public online business directory for members that have completed their free setup.

Use the Marketing Toolkit to advertise to your members.

Step 1 – Select/Review program settings

1.	Click Gift Cards in the left-hand menu.

2.	Click Settings tab.

3.	Make sure you’ve enabled all the desired locations for Gift Card marketing to appear so that you are ready for visitors to start purchasing Gift Cards.

You may wish to visit and use the Marketing Toolkit first, prior to enabling these selections. See the Marketing Toolkit link provided on the Gift Cards-> Toolkit tab.

Enable GiftLocal banner ad in the Member Information Center – presents members with the opportunity to view information about, update their free listing and opt-in to the premium Gift Cards program.

All members will see a promotional banner in their Member Information Center v3 or v4

Enable "Buy a GiftCard" button in the business directory public module – turns on the “Buy a GiftCard” button next to participating member names in the public business directory that belong to the nine specific categories. Members that opted-in and selected the “Other” category will not have this button.

4.	Click Save Changes.

 

Step 2 – Review and use Marketing Toolkit

1.	Click Gift Cards in the left-hand menu.

2.	Click the Toolkit tab.

3.	Click any orange link to open, view and download the associated promotional item.

 

 

Suggestion of what you’ll want to communicate

Encourage your members to complete the free setup so purchase of their gift card will display their name

Encourage your members to upgrade to the premium gift card which places their logo on the card, allows custom card images, links to their website and social pages, preferred placement on giftcards.com, limited used at their location only, ability to offer coupons and deals with their card and advanced reporting.

Promote your own Gift Cards website page to the community so consumers can purchase gift cards that will allow purchases at any of your businesses.
