Using Sales Tax – the big picture

If the “Tax” tax set is selected at the top of the invoice (see Figure 1-3), then any invoiced Fee Items with an assigned “Tax” tax set will be invoiced with the tax applied. Non-tax Fee Items will be invoiced without being taxed even on the same invoice as taxed items.

If the Non tax set is selected at the top of the invoice, then none of the invoiced items will be taxed – even if the invoiced Fee Item is assigned a Tax Set.
